Ever wondered what Harremaatweg 27 looked like in the past before the current house was build in 2020? On this page you can find several photographs and information about what went on before 2020.
Family Van Ravenhorst
First of all, a bit of history about Harremaatweg 27 before the house was built in 2020.
The farm as shown below in several photos was built in 1906 by the van Galen family. In 1933, the Arends family lived there for five years, after which the Van Galen family took over again until 1949. Then the house and the farm were taken over by its last owners, the Van Ravenhorst family. They lived here until 2018.

The Van Ravenhorst family farm was a mixed agricultural business with five sows, nine cows and 1,200 chickens. In the photo we also see milk cans, but the cows were milked manually at least twice a day, after which the cans were placed along the road to be picked up.
In recent years there were no more animals on the farm and the land was used as corn land.
2020 to present
Since 2020, the grounds and house have been part of Ackersate Holiday Park. In the summer it is used for group camping with a toilet building. There is also a parking space. This is what it now looks like: (swipe to see the photos)
